Hillsdale College student Bailey Wright awarded $2,000 national civics scholarship

Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Hillsdale College student Bailey Wright following her completion of the Constitutional Study Program.

Wright is from Germantown, Ohio and is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry at Hillsdale College in Michigan. After taking the free courses in the Constitutional Study Program provided through Hillsdale College, she reflected on what she learned from the program.

“The founding fathers viewed government not as the dictator of rights, but instead as the protector of preexisting rights,” Wright opined. She also noted the important role education has in preserving the constitution, the founding ideals, and the good of mankind.

“Our nation will never protect freedom again until citizens are educated on how to be free. When education helps man discover the good, true, and beautiful, he learns what it means to live a Godly life, free from the chains of sin.”

The Foundation’s Executive Director Christine Altenberger shared her excitement about Wright receiving the scholarship and completing the program.

“Reading Bailey’s reflections on the Constitutional Study Scholarship Program was really encouraging,” Altenberger said. “Bailey and her peers are the future of American leaders, and her thoughtful insights give me confidence that our nation is in good hands if young people like her are fighting for our future.”
